Orígenes del Ultimate Metal
> Redemthor fue fundada a finales de 2004 por Mick Hellawaits (Miguel), quien reunió a Hugo (batería), Wilson (bajo), Juan Rave (voz) y Fredy (guitarra rítmica) para dar vida a un proyecto ambicioso que buscaba fusionar lo mejor del metal con una visión conceptual profunda.

Metal-Attack 2004
> En diciembre de 2004, Redemthor participó en el primer Metal-Attack en Rionegro, compartiendo escenario con bandas icónicas como Witchtrap, Vitaem et Mortem y Revenge, consolidando su presencia en la escena local.

> In December 2004, Redemthor participated in the first Metal-Attack in Rionegro, sharing the stage with iconic bands such as Witchtrap, Vitaem et Mortem and Revenge, consolidating their presence in the local scene.

> El programa se emitió en febrero de 2005 y tuvo una gran acogida entre el público metalero, posicionando a la banda como innovadores dentro de la narrativa musical colombiana.
> That same December 2004, Redemthor recorded a segment for the "Mucha Música" program on CityTV Bogotá, based on the story Total Darkness, written by Mick Hellawaits.

Evolución y Cambios (2005-2006)
> Sin embargo, 2005 trajo cambios significativos: Hugo (hermano de Mick) se trasladó a Bogotá y Fredy dejó la banda por diferencias musicales.
> Juan Rave asumió la batería y Mick Hellawaits pasó a encargarse de la voz principal, marcando el inicio de una etapa de experimentación y consolidación sonora que definiría el sonido del Ultimate Metal.

Pausa Estratégica (2006-2008)
> A mediados de 2006, Mick Hellawaits se mudó a Bogotá para trabajar y estudiar diseño 3D, lo que llevó a una pausa indefinida del proyecto.
> En 2007, tras el nacimiento de su hija Violeta, Mick se enfocó en su familia, pero la música seguía latente. En 2008, Juan Rave y Wilson lo contactaron para retomar la banda.
> In mid-2006, Mick Hellawaits moved to Bogotá to work and study 3D design, which led to an indefinite pause of the project.
> In 2007, after the birth of his daughter Violeta, Mick focused on his family, but music remained latent. In 2008, Juan Rave and Wilson contacted him to resume the band.
The Red Tormenthor Project (2008)
> Mick aceptó y regresó a Rionegro, reincorporando a Fredy en la alineación. Juntos grabaron el primer EP, "The Red Tormenthor Project", en Syntelia Sound Records.
> Bajo la ingeniería de Luis Fernando Narváez, este EP ayudó a definir el sonido característico de la banda, presentando cinco temas que exploraban la narrativa de "Total Darkness" con riffs potentes, atmósferas oscuras y letras filosóficas.
> Poco después, Fredy volvió a salir de la banda, quedando la formación en trío: Mick Hellawaits, Juan Rave y Wilson.
> Mick accepted and returned to Rionegro, bringing Fredy back into the lineup. Together they recorded the first EP, "The Red Tormenthor Project", at Syntelia Sound Records.
> Under the engineering of Luis Fernando Narváez, this EP helped define the band's characteristic sound, featuring five tracks that explored the "Total Darkness" narrative with powerful riffs, dark atmospheres and philosophical lyrics.
> Shortly after, Fredy left the band again, leaving the lineup as a trio: Mick Hellawaits, Juan Rave and Wilson.
Consolidación a través de Giras
> Con esta alineación y el EP en mano, Redemthor inició una gira por ciudades como Manizales, Medellín, Bogotá y Cartagena, participando en festivales y consolidando su reputación como pioneros del "Ultimate Metal" en Colombia.
> Estos shows fueron fundamentales para establecer una base de seguidores fiel y demostrar que el concepto del Ultimate Metal resonaba con la audiencia metalera nacional.
> With this lineup and EP in hand, Redemthor began a tour through cities such as Manizales, Medellín, Bogotá and Cartagena, participating in festivals and consolidating their reputation as pioneers of "Ultimate Metal" in Colombia.

Legado de la Fundación
La etapa de fundación (2004-2008) estableció los pilares del proyecto Redemthor: una visión conceptual clara, un sonido innovador y un compromiso con la narrativa distópica que permearía toda su obra.
El lanzamiento del EP "The Red Tormenthor Project" marcó el punto de inflexión que transformó a Redemthor de una banda de escena local a creadores de un género único: el Ultimate Metal. Los primeros años fueron de experimentación, cambios y consolidación, pero también de visión clara y determinación artística que perdura hasta hoy.
The foundation stage (2004-2008) established the pillars of the Redemthor project: a clear conceptual vision, an innovative sound and a commitment to dystopian narrative that would permeate all their work.
The release of the EP "The Red Tormenthor Project" marked the turning point that transformed Redemthor from a local scene band to creators of a unique genre: Ultimate Metal.
